The North Haven SLSC Adaptive Nipper Program aims to create an inclusive surf lifesaving experience for children with special needs aged 5 – 12 yrs. This program will provide opportunities for participants to develop beach safety awareness, surf skills, and confidence in the water, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued in our community. It will benefit children with special needs, their families, and our broader community by fostering participation, social connections, and water safety skills. Volunteers will also gain valuable experience in inclusive practices.

Age 5 yrs minimum

Membership Documents
Sports Vouchers
North Haven SLSC is a registered provider for the SA Government Sports Voucher Plus Program for children in Reception to Year 9.
To use Sports Vouchers as payment or part payment of fees, click the button to complete and submit a North Haven SLSC Sports Voucher Claim form.
One or two vouchers can be used per member per season to reduce your membership costs.
Working With Children Check
All volunteers aged 14yrs and over are required to have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
To initiate a free volunteer WWCC application, click the WWCC Request Form button for a new ‘Working With Children Check’ Application form or click the Submit Current WWCC button for an existing Current Working With Children Check form.
If you are unwilling to complete WWCC requirements, North Haven SLSC will be unable to accept your membership.
Membership Cards
All NHSLSC Members will receive a membership card valid for the year they are financial. The card will be issued upon notification of payment of annual fees.
Upon payment, your card will be available for collection next time you visit the club - just ask the friendly staff at The Breakwater Cafe & Bar.
Show your membership card to the friendly staff at The Breakwater Cafe & Bar to receive 15% off all food and beverage purchases.
New to Surf Life Saving Australia & NHSLSC
To complete registration, login to your SLS Hub, select North Haven as the club you would like to join, enter the required details, confirm your acceptance of the membership declarations, select your membership type and fee, enter your payment details, review and submit.
Your registration will remain as Pending until it is processed by the club, and we have received Working With Children Check’s if required and Sports Voucher’s where being used for fees. We may contact you to confirm details.
Click the Join North Haven SLSC button to create your SLS Hub account.
Existing SLSA member transferring clubs
If you are transferring your membership to North Haven SLSC, please login to your existing SLS Hub account.
Go to the Memberships panel, click on the view more link, and click the Join/Transfer to a New Organisation button to request a transfer.
Once your transfer to North Haven SLSC has been processed you will be able to register your membership.
Click the Transfer to North Haven SLSC button to login to your SLS Hub and request your transfer.

MEMBERSHIP FAQs

Current members can renew their memberships between 1 July and before 30 October each year.
New members can join anytime throughout the season, however membership will become due again from 1 July
GYM MEMBERSHIPS are paid annually on the anniversary of joining - if payment is not received within the 1 week grace period after your anniversary date your fob will become inactive - you can contact the Director of Members services if you have any problems with payment or an inactive fob

Membership details, transfers and renewals must be managed through your SLS Hub account.
If you previously had a Members Area account, you would now have an SLS Hub. Login with the same Username to get started. Click Existing Account
To create an SLS Hub, click Create SLS Hub

Registrations are processed manually. It can take a couple of days for them to be processed. Once processed you will receive a ‘Welcome’ email confirming your membership and details on how to collect your access fob and/or membership card.
If your Working With Children Check has expired or you don’t have a WWCC, your registration cannot be processed until one is received.
When using Sports Vouchers as payment or part payment of fees, registrations cannot be processed until a Sports Voucher Claim has been received.
Where a nipper registration is received but a parent/carer registration has not been submitted, the nipper registration cannot be processed until the parent/carer registration is also received.
If you are transferring your membership, the transfer must be completed by the ‘losing’ club before your registration can be processed and your new club fees can be paid

Login to your SLS Hub, go to the Membership panel and click on the View More link. Click on the Change Sub-Membership Category button.
If you are changing your membership category as you intend to undertake Bronze/SRC training or for any other reason - please email member services to advise of the changes

Yes, North Haven SLSC is a Sports Vouchers SA participating organisation
Sports Vouchers are accepted for children in Reception to Year 9.
Please use the North Haven SLSC form to submit vouchers.
Submission of Sports Vouchers is separate to the payment of fees via the SLS Hub.
To confirm if Sports Voucher’s has already been utilised this calendar year, check on the SA Government Sports Voucher portal via the link below

If you have previously been a member of any other Surf Life Saving Club in Australia, your membership will still be with that club, and it will need to be transferred to North Haven.
You can create the transfer via your SLS Hub. Go to the Membership panel and click on the View More link. Click on the Join/Transfer to a New Organisation button.
If you require further assistance, contact member servcies
This message will also appear if you have progressed through the joining process on SLS Hub but did not submit a payment or an error occurred while on the payment page - in this instance you will need to wait until your membership application has been accepted by the club and then you will need to login to your SLS Hub account and pay the required fees - if this error occurs please contact member services

All members aged 14 years and over that are responsible for a group of children or on patrol will require a current WWCC.
If you would like the club to initiate a free volunteer WWCC, complete the Request a WWCC Application form.
